2nd Day in Bariloche:

After breakfast, we will take a full-day tour to Cerro Tronador and the Black Glacier (Ventisquero Negro). The tour heads towards the Andes Mountains, taking the national route 258 southward. We skirt the edges of the Gutiérrez and Mascardi lakes, reaching the gravel road that leads us to the base of Cerro Tronador. This winding path, surrounded by coihue and lenga forests, crosses the Manso River bridge, allowing us to reach Pampa Linda. This small plain is close to the Manso glacier, also known as Ventisquero Negro. The three peaks that crown Tronador are the Argentine (3,040 m), the International (3,554m), and the Chilean (3,474 m). The tour lasts approximately 8 hours.

Breakfast at the hotel followed by a full-day lake excursion lasting 8 hours to Puerto Blest and Cascada de los Cantaros. Departing from Puerto Pañuelo, on the Llao Llao peninsula, this excursion takes you on an hour-long navigation to Centinela Island, where the remains of Francisco Pascasio Moreno, the father of the National Parks in Argentina, rest, and then arrives at Cascada de los Cantaros. Then, going upstream, you can immerse yourself in the lush Valdivian rainforest, reach Lake Cantaros, the source of the waterfall, and enjoy the imposing presence of a larch tree over 1,500 years old. A mere five-minute navigation brings you finally to Puerto Blest, a place that has amazed tourists visiting from the most diverse countries of the world for years. From there, you can visit the bay and explore the shores of Frias Lake, whose peculiar green waters come from one of the glaciers of Cerro Tronador, a natural boundary between Argentina and Chile. The return journey then heads back to Puerto Pañuelo.
